The DESS founder

Despina Chatzikyriakou came up with the DESS concept in early 2024, after looking for a constructive way to interact with the contemporary creative designers of her home country, seeing the incredible progress that Greek designers have done the last decade!

In addition, Despina has had a very specific view on how the customer experience should be in a physical boutique and she wanted to put that into practice.

Despina has been working as a executive in the car industry for a few years now, with various roles in business strategy, business development, R&D, lobbying. She holds a PhD in Nuclear Engineering and has studied Mechanical Engineering, having worked as a researcher in various top universities in Europe, UK and US.

Despite her engineering background, Despina has always been remaining close to fashion and has been a keen shopper herself for the last 25 years.

All the above, have led to the DESS project, as a way to put together all the experience of various fields into creating a unique shopping experience, where customer needs are heard and met.

Making good use of the limited time that we all have, focusing on buying only the clothes that we need and not on further cluttering our wardrobes, creating together the outfit that best matches the customers' personality while having lots of fun in the process, is the best way to describe the DESS experience!

The DESS mindest

DESS is the mindset that amplifies the conversation between who we are and the child still inside us. It brings to the surface our desire to belong and at the same time to be unique. It speaks of our need to break the norms that confine us. It seeks to reflect our values, our passions and our need to be beautiful, loved, powerful and free.

To represent those who share the DESS mindset, we decided to put our skills, our passion and drive into the DESS fashion project: a creative dialogue between fashion designers and fashion lovers.
